The movie follow the narrative of Oh Dae-su, who is imprison in a cell which resemble a hotel room for 15 old age without know the personal identity of his capturer or his capturer’s motivation. When he is eventually let go of, Dae-su discovery himself still trap in a web of confederacy and force. His own pursuit for retribution becomes tie in with love affair when he fall in love with an attractive immature female sushi chef.
