Though toilet Badham’s Stakeout doesn’ t wince in the force section, the movie concentrate chiefly on word picture. Richard Dreyfus and Emilio Estevez play a brace of Seattle detective, delegate to capture at large hoodlum Aidan Quinn. The twosome spends much of the movie on stakeout in a lonely, abandoned house; the physical object of their examination is Madeline Harriet Beecher Stowe, Quinn’s former girlfriend.
