The Z Man (1971) has Charlton Heston as the last man on world after source war has decimate the population. But he is not entirely and engage a one man war on the mutant who transport the pestilence. These mutant are take by a zealot (Antony Zerbe) who desire a tax return to the old shipway before the progress of engineering and see’s Heston as the lone obstruction in his path.This is still the best version in my sentiment and have a crack mark from Ron Grainer.
